• Team-Based Planning: Tempus Resource users can now plan with a Team Resource, meaning leaders can plan for a team rather than an individual resource. Team Resources are made up of named resources and their percentage or story point inclusion on the team. ProSymmetry saw a gap in resource planning when organizations were using Agile or Agile combined with waterfall and operational project management approaches. • Multi-Assignment of a Resource on a Project: Now, users can assign one resource (named, demand planning, or Team) multiple times on one assignment. We often see people are assigned to a project acting as more than one role. With this capability, customers can leverage assignment attributes to further define what that resource is doing on the project.
  • Additionally, one role from many locations or cost centers may be needed on the project. With multi-assignment, these roles can be assigned to one project and then assignment attributes are leveraged to further define the role.
• Quick Filters: Users can now filter by “My Projects” and “My Resources” for quick access to the projects and resources that matter most to them. Using the system fields “Project Owner” and “Resource Managers”, users can quickly see the projects or resources where they are the owner or manager.
• Defined Programming/Planning Intervals (PI): Version 9.2 includes this new allocation option to support Agile capacity planning, and it’s available in both Bulk Project Allocation Flatgrid and Single Project Allocation planning grids.
• New Project Workflow Behavior: Version 9.2 includes new logic to move a workflow through stages in a linear direction. This includes updates to “Current Stage” so users can review previous stages while keeping the current stage defined. Additionally, users will have the ability to apply templates in the workflow.

Tempus Resource Version 9.2 also features these updates:

• Plan by story points for those using Agile delivery.
• Define team velocities by month.
• Assign people to teams proportionally, by percentage of the month. If someone is dropping off a team, this gives leaders the ability to add people back to the team as needed.
